Zumba is a dance and fitness at the same time. Zumba is created for those who are bored during fitness classes, who want to keep fit and get rid of extra pounds by dancing. A combination of energetic, exciting dance and a fairly intense workout to the rhythmic music of Latin American and African dance rhythms – that’s what Zumba is.
The basis of the dance is traditional Latin American dance steps in salsa, merengue, samba, see and others, there are also elements of flamenco and afro-dance, a little hip-hop and a lot, a lot of hip movements.
Zumba is a great cardio workout, a great activity for those who want to lose weight, keep fit or shape their body. Although from the outside it all looks like a simple dance, in fact, zumba involves performing a set of exercises carefully designed for different muscle groups. Multiple repetitions under excellent rhythms give a serious load to the muscles, trains the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, increases the level of endurance. Externally, zumba fitness is very similar to a dance discipline, but with a targeted emphasis on the work of certain muscles.
